Fightback not enough as Hornets held by Rustington |

Horsham's under
12s were denied a victory against Rustington Otters when a last minute goal
from the hosts ensured that both sides would have to settle for a point from
an entertaining 3-3 draw. The young Hornets trailed their opponents 2-0 at the
break but bounced back to take the lead through goals from Danny Kirkland,
George Hole and Zak Comber but the Otters' late goal moved them to within two
points of leaders Sompting while Horsham remain in 6th place in the Arun &
Chichester League table with 2 wins and 2 draws from their 5 games. |

Under 14s strengthen position at top of the table |

Louis Masih
scored twice as the under 14s maintained their 100% record with a 4-0 win
against Worthing United 'B' this morning. A goalless first half then saw the
young Hornets twice denied by the post after the break before finally breaking
down the Worthing defence after 54 minutes through a David O'Callaghan
penalty. Masih took his season's tally to 13 goals with a brace of goals
either side of an effort by Dan Petchey.

O'Sullivan shows his hand as Hornets make progress in County Cup |

Patrick
O'Sullivan helped himself to five goals as Horsham's under 16s sent Worthing
Minors Youth crashing out of the County Cup. All of the goals were scored in
the first half of a wet and windy encounter with Jordan Ruff claiming the
Hornets' other goal.

Staines match rearranged |
|
Monday night's
scheduled Ryman Youth League fixture between Horsham and Staines Town has been
rearranged for Thursday 1st November, ko 7.45pm. The decision to put the match
back 72hrs has been made to protect the Queen Street pitch in the event that a
replay is required to resolve the first team's FA Cup tie with Chippenham Town
on Saturday. |

Brave Brove no match for Horsham |

Horsham moved in
to the 3rd round of the County Cup with a victory over Brove United that was
far more comprehensive than the 3-1 scoreline might suggest. Dean Wright (2)
and Pat Surlis scored the goals to set up a meeting with Haywards Heath.

swapped places with Rustington Otters as a 3-1 win by Matt Bulley's team put
them top of the Arun & Chichester League with a third successive league
victory.

Under 18s manager
Ivan Raby was pleased with the efforts of his players after his patched up
squad were beaten 3-0 against AFC Wimbledon last night. With several regulars
injured or unavailable, Raby was forced to include a number of players from
the under 16 squad including goalkeeper Joe Lees who made a string of fine

Zak Comber made
it 13 for the season as the U12s thrashed T.D.Shipley 9-1 in today's first
round of the County Cup. The young striker helped himself to 4 goals as the
Hornets earned themselves a trip to Eastbourne United or Marle Place Wanderers
in next month's second round.

Horsham's U14s
hit double figures in their County Cup first round encounter with Shoreham
based ASC Strikers, hitting 16 goals without reply, to set up a second round
tie at home to Crawley Town Devils next month. Meanwhile the U16s maintained
their 100% league record with a 3-0 win against Regis 2000 'A'. |

An excellent
performance from the U18s saw them end Ryman Youth League leaders
Kingstonian's 100% start with a creditable 1-1 draw at the Atsped Stadium
tonight.

U12s in surprise defeat but there's something to cheer as U16s and U14s
finally get back to action |

The U12s slipped
to their first defeat of the season against previously pointless Sompting &
Thistle Youth in the 'A' Division of the Arun & Chichester League but there
was better news elsewhere as the U14s thrashed Bosham 8-0 in the County Cup
and the U16s won a seven goal thriller 4-3 against Barnham Trojans. |
