Horsham Youth meet new
boss 19/6/11 |
|
First team boss Justin
Luchford and Assistant Manager Hugo Langton met with a
number of the club's under 18 squad at Gorings Mead on
Saturday morning. Both of them stressed how important
the young players were to the plans of Horsham FC as the
club enters a new era. The under 18 squad will be taking
part in the early pre-season work with the first team
squad, as well as sharing the winter venue at the
Billingshurst Astro. This will give Youth players plenty
of chances to impress the management team throughout the
season. Manager Luchford told the players he would get
to know all of them personally and that opportunities
were there for players who showed they had both the
talent and attitude to progress with the club. He also
said he would be closely following the Youth team and
would be either watching himself or getting a full
report of every game. Uefa A qualified coach Langton
spoke about his interest in helping develop the clubs
youngsters and how excited he would be to see any of
them eventually break into the first team. After the
meeting the lads put pen to paper signing forms for the
new season.

U16s MANAGEMENT TEAM UNVEILED
15/6/11 |
|
With the new season
approaching, we are delighted to announce that David
Waller and Andy Hole will take over the management and
coaching roles with the U16s. Both have been heavily
involved with the side for a while so we are confident
that the transition will go smoothly. The U16s will be
competing in the Sussex Sunday Youth League. We wish
them both and the squad a fantastic season ahead and
look forward to seeing some of the young lads
progressing though to the U18 squad as the season
develops. |

Horsham Youth say farewell
to Ian Meadows
13/6/11 |
|
Horsham Youth would like
to express their grateful thanks to Ian Meadows, who has
announced his decision to leave the club for personal
reasons. Ian took over the running of the U15s side
after the previous manager, Danny Redmond, decided to
leave the club and, with the support of his wife Carole,
has done a fantastic job. Both Ian and Horsham Football
Club reaped the rewards of his hard work last season
with the boys finishing as runners-up in their debut
season in the Sussex Sunday Youth League and winning the
League Cup Final. Ian's last duties with the squad will
come when they pick up their trophies at the League
night at Brighton Centre. Youth secretary Annie Raby
said "I would like to say a massive thank you to Ian as
he has always supported me and was always spot on with
the paperwork and been very flexible with fixture
changes, making my life easier as a Secretary". |

The future's bright!
1/6/11 |
|
Horsham Youth is looking
to grow over the next 2 seasons. With newly appointed
first team manager Justin Luchford confirming his
commitment towards the integration of youth team
players, Horsham Youth would like to see the club grow
while attracting quality players who will believe they
will get a chance to represent Horsham Football Club at
senior level.
We are pleased to announce that we will again be
entering an U18 side in next season's Ryman Youth
League, with a new U16s level participating in the
Sussex Sunday League. The U15s will compete in the Arun
& Chichester League with the U14s either playing Arun &
Chichester or Sussex Sunday League football.
We would also like to introduce new squads at U12 and
U13 levels to compete in 2011/12 Arun & Chichester
League on Sundays and would invite all interested
Managers and Coaches to apply to Annie Raby on 07800
