Horsham Youth travelled to Cranleigh on Tuesday for their last pre season friendly before the FA Youth Cup Tie against Tooting and Mitcham United next week. Horsham took a squad of 14 to the game and the starting eleven set the standards with some great passing football as they moved the ball quickly. Josh Clack was the first on the score sheet after finding himself in a prime position, one on one with the 'keeper, to give Horsham the lead after ten minutes. Cranleigh levelled the scores on the half hour mark after full-back Aiden Enticknapp sliced the ball into the path of the Cranleigh striker who finished well past Dominic Burchell in the Hornets goal. Adam Hutchings and Andy Miller ran the midfield and this gave more opportunities for Horsham's forwards and Clack put away his second to give Horsham a 2-1 interval lead. Soon after the break Hutchings and George Magnus came off as they were due to be involved in a Sussex Colleges game the next afternoon, Joss Knowles and James Callaby replacing them in a slight reshuffle and, soon after, Andy Miller scored with a cracker from 25 yards out. Clack was replaced by Max White who was making his first start after returning from holiday and with Chris Copstake working hard on the left wing the strikers were getting further chances. Patrick O'Sullivan was rewarded for his hard work and he showed his class in front of goal with two good finishes to give the visiting Hornets a 5-1 victory.

Horsham can be pleased with their pre-season campaign in which they won five and were beaten just once and managed to have a look at around thirty different players..
