Horsham started very well in this County Cup 2nd round tie, postponed 7 days after last weekend's washout, and  had their first chance inside 3 minutes when Matt Mayes headed just over from a corner. However, despite having all the pressure it was a further 12 minutes before they managed to take the lead when a cross, from the left, by Aiden Enticknapp was headed home by Brandon Tiller.

The lead was shortlived and Wealden equalised, very much against the run of play, when a clearance by Horsham's Jamie Witham was charged down. Despite the 'keeper getting back to make a save, the follow up was headed home.

With almost continuous pressure from Horsham and only 1 chance for Wealden half time saw the sides locked at 1 – 1.

The second half started with Collier and Petchey coming on for Entickknapp and Hall and the changes had an almost immediate impact when Collier doubled the lead on 4 minutes. Two minutes later Petchey put in a cross from the right for Collier to head home his second.

The young Hornets continued to press hard and Petchey almost became provider again but his cross was shot just wide by Clack.

The 63rd minute saw further changes with Chester and Enticknapp coming on for Petchey and Mayes. With 13 minutes to go Collier completed his hat trick with another headed goal, this time from an Enticknapp cross, and 2 minutes later O’Callaghan got on the score sheet with a chip over the 'keeper.

With 2 further rounds of changes, first Petchey on for Gray and then Clack on for McGill, Horsham still continued to push and were rewarded when a Collier cross, aimed for Clack, appeared to be turned in by the Wealdon defender.

Full time saw Horsham run out 6 – 1 winners and progress to the 3rd round later in the month.
