A good solid performance from Horsham against a well organised Regis 2000 who came to the match knowing they needed to win to make up any ground on Horsham's strong grip on the league.

However it was Horsham who began the stronger with Connor Cushing, Jake Waller and Anthony Jupp dominating the midfield and it was just after ten minutes when a well placed through ball by Cushing put through lone striker Zak Comber to open the scoring with a well taken strike that left the Regis 2000 goalkeeper with no chance.

From then on in it was a tight affair with both defences dominating play and not allowing many chances on their respective goals. Tom Frankland and George Hole worked tirelessly down the flanks.

In the second half Regis thought they had been awarded a penalty when Tom Barnes was deemed to have obstructed a Regis forward but the referee rightly awarded an indirect free kick.

From the resulting free kick, and for the rest of the match, the Horsham back five of Lewis Blaney, James Rogers, Ben Collier, Greg Gander and Tom Barnes remained defiant and resolute and showed why they have only conceded 6 goals all season. A hard earned 3 points by Horsham means they only need another point to be certain of the title.
