This was always going to be a stiff test this early
in the season and it showed when we found ourselves 1 down early in
the game.
Again, a couple of changes were required after
20mins with the Reeves twins coming on to put some fight into the
Horsham side. We started to play some football and create our own
chances, with Finn Bigg having a couple of chances saved by the
Highdown goalkeeper, and Horsham's wingers started to get into the
game as the half came to a close.
A few stern words at half time did the trick and
the presence of new boy Nik Bristow up front helped also. Horsham
scored 5 minutes into the second half with a cool head and curling
finish by Bigg.
The game settled into an evenly matched affair but
it took only one lapse in concentration for Horsham to concede the
deciding goal.
A draw would have been a fair result but that's
football. A very good second half against one of the strongest sides
in the division. Well done lads
