Craig Davies will be given another chance to impress as the
Hornets take on Godalming Town in their latest pre-season run
out, this Saturday (kick-off 3pm). The former Football League
striker struggled to make an impression during Tuesday's 3-0
defeat at Lewes but John Maggs believes the trialist has all
the credentials to become a hit for the Hornets. "It was a bit
disappointing at Lewes," said Maggs. "Craig must have had only
a handful of touches but you can't argue with his record. He's
played for Morecambe and Yeovil and scored 10 goals in the
Football League so he's obviously got something about him."
Maggs will also cast a keen eye on the club's younger talent
with George Magnus, Adam Hutchings and Chris Copestack all
included in the squad for the trip to Wey Court. Pat Harding
is unlikely to feature until the opening match of the season
after picking up a knock in the win at Lordswood while the
holidaying Paul Kennett will also be absent. |
