King is set for a first competitive start in Horsham colours
for Saturday's visit to Wealdstone as the Hornets go in
search of their first victory, and first goals, of the new
season.
King's inclusion comes as a
result of a foot injury sustained by Tom Graves, the man he
replaced during Tuesday's reverse at Sutton, and means that
John Maggs is likely to start with the same eleven that
finished the match at Gander Green Lane with fit again Pat
Harding expected to replace Dean Wright in attack. Steve
Davies could return to the squad in place of Adam Hutchings
who picked up a knock in training on Thursday evening.
Wealdstone are one of the teams
tipped by the Hornets' boss to be among the likely promotion
candidates this season and they bounced back from an opening
day defeat at Hastings with a comprehensive 3-0 win over
Tooting & Mitcham on Monday night. Former Leyton striker Greg
N'Goyi helped himself to a brace, with all the Stones' goals
coming in a dominant first half display that would have
delighted the majority of an impressive 419 crowd.
Horsham have a poor record
against Gordon Bartlett's side, with the only success in the
last 8 meetings coming in a 4-0 win at Queen Street in October
2007.
Supporters are reminded that the
club will be running a coach to this match, departing
Queensway at 12:15. The return fare of £12 is payable on the
day but places may be reserved in advance by contacting John
