Den Gates R.I.P.

Horsham Football Club was shocked and saddened to hear of the recent passing of Den Gates after a short battle with cancer. Den was a hugely popular character who, together with his wife Angie, provided the catering services at Queen Street for many years until the closure of the ground in 2008. The epitome of 'service with a smile', Den loved his football and was a keen follower of both Horsham and West Ham United. Our prayers and sympathies go to Angie and Den's family and friends at this sad time.
