Bobby Traynor hit a hat-trick as Kingstonian saw off a
stubborn Billericay to top the early Ryman Premier
Division table this evening. The Ks looked on target for
a comfortable victory against Saturday's conquerors of
Tonbridge Angels after Traynor and Adam Thompson had
scored inside 27 minutes but the Essex club drew level
just after the break, thanks to Collis and Leon McKenzie.
Kingstonian hit the woodwork twice and had a goal from
Dean Lodge disallowed but were rewarded for their
pressure when Traynor converted a late penalty before
Cedric Ngakam was dismissed for the visitors and Traynor wrapped things up in injury time. Elsewhere,
Wealdstone scored 3 times in the first half through
Scott Fitzgerald and Greg N'goyi (2) to record a fine
3-0 win over Tooting, who saw Saturday's hat-trick hero
Kienan Mason-Hughes sent off late on, and Paul Jones'
77th minute goal equalised Ryan Edgar's opener to
earn Folkestone Invicta their first point of the season
in a 1-1 draw at Aveley.
