Hornets start at home

John Maggs will experience a first as Horsham manager when the 2010/11 campaign gets underway - an opening day fixture AT HOME ! The release of next season's fixtures, earlier today, sees the Hornets entertain Aveley at Gorings Mead, the first time we've started a campaign on home turf since 1996. We travel to beaten play-off semi-finalists Sutton United, 3 days later, and face promoted Folkestone Invicta in successive weekends with the Kent cub visiting Gorings Mead on 18th September - a week after our FA Cup meeting. Supporters will be pleased to have avoided daunting midweek trips to Lowestoft Town and Bury Town and the draw has also been kind in presenting us with a home match with which to end the season when Tonbridge Angels come to town.
