Gary Charman

Hugo Langton has spoken to Hornets Review to give his thoughts on Horsham legend Gary Charman after his reported exit from Eastbourne Borough this weekend.

"I think it appropriate that I should respond to the news about Gary's departure from Eastbourne because I know from all the texts and Tweets that I've been getting that it's something that has excited Horsham supporters since the news broke earlier today" said Hugo.

"Gary is a player I admire greatly and he came across as a top bloke when Justin (Luchford) and I met with him in the summer. We had a long conversation with him about his future, and his honesty and passion made it clear just how much the club meant to him. He has rightly become a legend at this club for his many years of outstanding service and I know how much of a wrench it was for him to make his decision to move on but he did what was right for him at the time. Of course, I would love for him to return to Horsham Football Club right now but as things stand I'm not in a position financially where I can make him a realistic offer and I refuse to embarrass him by only offering him expenses."
