Wealdstone v Horsham: MATCH PREVIEW

Horsham will be without the suspended Steve Sargent for Tuesday's tricky looking visit to Wealdstone as the Hornets look to recapture the form that saw them unbeaten in 7 matches until recent defeats to Horsham YMCA and Aveley. Steve Davies steps in to replace the former Leatherhead man whose 3 cautions for previous side Horsham YMCA played their part in his one game suspension.

John Maggs will delay naming his squad until Tuesday's 'roll-call' but has hinted that there may be one further change to the side that lost for the first time in the league since October 3rd when they went down 2-1 at Aveley on Saturday. Uncertainty remains over the future of Lee Carney, following Three Bridges' recent approach, but he looks certain to be in the starting XI although Jack Lyons remains on the sidelines while he awaits confirmation of his suspected broken toe. Maggs will be hoping that Ben Andrews recovers from a back injury suffered at the weekend but otherwise there are no fresh injury doubts for the Hornets.

Horsham have managed just 1 victory over Wealdstone in the past 6 meetings, a 4-0 thumping at Queen Street in 2007, and failed to score in either of last season's fixtures. The Stones have lost just twice in the league this season but currently lie in 10th place in the Ryman Premier Division due, in part, to a backlog of fixtures caused by their excellent FA Cup run that ended in a narrow 1st round defeat against Rotherham United.

Saturday saw them return from Tonbridge Angels with a 3-2 victory under their belts and long serving manager Gordon Bartlett has taken Watford's promising young winger Billy Gibson on a month's loan to help bolster an attack that has recorded only 21 goals this season, only Boreham Wood and struggling Billericay Town and Bognor Regis Town having scored less.

The club are operating a coach to this game, departing Queensway at 4.30pm, at a return fare of £12. Anyone wishing to reserve their seat in advance should contact John Lines on 07721418889 or via email at linesj@tesco.net or turn up on the day where places will be allocated on a space available basis.
