Maggs will hope to conclude his summer transfer dealings
tomorrow with the signing of former Dartford striker Allan
Tait. The 27 year old, who also lists Crawley Town and
Eastbourne Borough among his former clubs, had made the switch
from Princes Park to Margate during the Summer but had his
contract cancelled by mutual consent this week and Maggs was
quick to swoop for a player he had been keeping tabs on for
some time. "I've been aware of Allan for many years," admitted
the Hornets supremo, "and I didn't hesitate once I knew he
might be available. He lives in East Grinstead so he's
virtually on our doorstep, he's got a good pedigree and will
be a terrific asset to the club, I'm absolutely certain of
that." Tait will be included in tomorrow's squad for the
friendly with YMCA. One player who won't be featuring in the
amber and green strip is Craig Davies after the striker was
released by Horsham this week..
