Tony
Nwachukwu was expected to attend his first training session of
the summer tonight, with John Maggs admitting his frustration
that the flying winger is a week behind his team mates in
preparation for the new campaign. "I'm disappointed that
Tony's missed the first sessions, especially as he tells me
that he didn't know that training had restarted. I know he's
spoken with Tooting during the summer but I'm hoping he'll be
back training with us tonight and remind us all what he is
capable of." Maggs is confident of having at least one more
new face in the side for Saturday's opening friendly fixture
at Burgess Hill, despite missing out on a couple of 'quality
signings'. The Hornets boss was in discussion with Eastbourne
Borough's Paul Armstrong and Worthing's talented forward Jamie
Brotherton before both decided to join Ryman League newcomers
Whitehawk but he remains confident of securing the signature
of former Redhill defender Jamal King.
