A late penalty save from Craig Bradshaw helped secure a fine 2-1 win at Canvey Island to move Horsham in to 5th place in the Ryman Premier Division. The goalkeeper, playing only his 3rd game for the Hornets, conceded the 79th minute spot-kick after bringing down Gulls' leading scorer James Rowe but made amends with a spectacular save to stretch our unbeaten league run to 5 games. Claude Seanla had earlier given the visitors the lead, bundling home Jack Page's cross on 16 minutes, but Horsham were pegged back early in the second half when Jay Curran converted following a corner. Lee Carney's long range effort restored the lead and John Maggs' side had to withstand some heavy pressure before avenging the 2-1 defeat at Gorings Mead earlier in the season. Full report...
