Howie's up for the cup

Howie the Hornet will be taking on the cream of the mascot world tomorrow in the 2010 Milton Keynes Theatre District Mascot Olympics. Our popular vespidae finished 2nd in the inaugural Mascot Olympics in 2007 but missed the previous 2 events due to family commitments so is looking forward to meeting up with old chums such as Yeovil Town's Jolly Green Giant and Coventry City's Sky Blue Sam.

This year's challenges will assume a World Cup theme, with 6 events spread over the course of the day and prizes for each event as well as for the overall winner. The event will also be raising money for Spinal Injuries Association and, as usual, will be a great opportunity for all the mascots to cause chaos and have a lot of fun with members of the public.

Below is a link with more information on the day itself. Of the events that will be taking place Howie is most looking forward to the Penalty Shoot Out, having had a lot of practice at attempting to save shots at half-time in matches last season, and also the Obstacle Course having won this event three years ago.
