Wilkins joins elite club |
|
Peter Wilkins has become the latest recipient of the coveted Gold
Pass, awarded to former players for their dedication to the club during its
amateur days, when he was presented with the honour by Club Chairman Kevin
Borrett before Saturday's postponed match with Bognor Regis Town. National
Service restricted Wilkins to 51 appearances for his hometown club between
1945 and 1954, having begun his Horsham career as a 16 year old, but the
former centre-half has retained an interest in the club despite moving away
from the area and was a willing contributor to Adam Hammond's book, Farewell
to the County. Other former players to have received their Gold Passes are Roy Spriggs, Denis Stillwell and Albert King. Congratulations Peter.
