Football Club Chairman 'delighted' at cash boost

Horsham Football Club are £2,000 better off this week after Chairman Kevin Borrett was presented with a cheque from the proceeds of the 200 Club by representatives of the Supporters' Club, prior to Saturday's match with Carshalton.

A delighted Borrett said "The club was delighted to receive this cheque for £2000 from HISC, who operate the 200 Club lottery on behalf of the club. I want to personally thank all those supporters of HFC who contribute monthly to the 200 Club, not only for the chance to win a cash prize, but also to help raise extremely valuable funds for us which go entirely towards our player funding. I would encourage all those reading this, who don't participate, to consider joining the lottery for a modest monthly outlay"

HISC Chairman Sean Bravery said it was further evidence of the Supporters' Club pledge to continue helping raise money for the club. "When we were asked for ways of helping out with the player fund, we saw the 200 Club as an ideal route. Full membership could realise significant, and much needed, sums for the club and we hope that Saturday's presentation will show everyone just what can be achieved."
