The Horsham matchday programme is
justifiably
acknowledged as one of the finest in the Isthmian League. The design,
content and regular articles of interest are a testament to Programme
Editor Adam Hammond's devotion to his work and Horsham Football Club is
extremely fortunate to be able to call upon his talent and dedication.
Today's modern programme, consisting of
many glossy pages of full colour print, is unrecognisable from those
produced by the club back in the 1920s. Yet, although the style may have
changed. through the advent of advanced printing techniques and increased
access to newsworthy items, the basic premise remains the same; to be
the mouthpiece of the football club, to provide details of those
participating in the day's main event and to help raise valuable funds
through advertising. A glance through back issues can also provide a
fascinating historical insight into not only on the pitch trials and
tribulations of the club but also circumstances off it.
