Simon Colbran - First Team Manager |
|
Appointed
first team manager in March 2012, following the departure of
Hugo Langton, Simon is a respected coach who took Crowborough
from County League Division Three into the Ryman League before
guiding Worthing to a promotion play-off place, via a spell as
first team coach at Eastbourne Borough. Simon took over as
player-manager at County League Redhill, turning them in to a
highly respected side, until the lure of the Ryman League saw
him accept the chance to manage Horsham. A former midfielder,
his playing career saw him have spells at Eastbourne Borough
(twice), Hastings, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge Angels and
German Division 3 side, Tus Celle. |

Wayne Clarke -
Player/Assistant Manager |

A
strong, pacey winger who was assistant to Simon Colbran at
Crowborough and Redhill before teaming up with him again at
Horsham in March this year. |

Ken Westoby - Goalkeeper |
|
A
fine shot-stopper who saved a penalty in each of his first two
appearances for the club during pre-season. Local boy Ken is
certainly no stranger to Gorings Mead, having previously played
for Horsham YMCA. He spent last season at Sussex County League
Division Three side Broadbridge Heath.

Michael Hunter

Michael
signed for the Hornets in December 2011 after a brief spell at
Sussex County League side Three Bridges. He began the season
at Crawley Down where he had played in the County League
championship-winning side of 2010-11, and has previous
experience with Lewes, Shoreham and Worthing |

Yinka Salami
- Defence |
|
Popular
right-sided utility man now in his third spell at the club.
Came through the PASE scheme at Gravesend & Northfleet before
moving on to Dulwich Hamlet, Fisher and Basingstoke Town. Joined
the Hornets in the Summer of 2007, making 30 appearances before
taking up a coaching role in the USA. Returned in December 2008
but suffered a knee injury that ended his season prematurely.
Has since played at Dulwich and was Godalming Town's player
of the year last season.. |

Jake Jacobs - Defence |
|
A
teenage defender who won a trial at Tottenham Hotspur whilst
attending Martin Allen’s Pro FC Training Camp. Represented Hampshire
eleven times as an Under-16 and played for Aldershot Town between
2007 and 2009. Jake had a season at Farnborough Town before
becoming a member of the Havant & Waterlooville U19 Academy
last season. He signed for the Hornets this close season.

Ian Varley - Defence |

An
experienced centre-half who has played in the Ryman League for
Ashford Town and Sittingbourne, where he was the team captain in
2009. Retired from Senior non-league football when he took over as
manager of the Gillingham Ladies’ team – though he continued to
play for Charlton Athletic Community FC – but resumed his career
when he joined Horsham in October 2011. |

Scott Harris - Defence/Midfield |

A
talented defender/midfielder whose previous clubs include Bognor
Regis Town and Portsmouth, where he was captain of the reserve
team. First joined Horsham in 2009 but suffered a serious injury
that put him out of the game for the rest of the season. Had a
successful spell at Redhill from where he joined the Hornets in
March of this year, |

Adam Hutchings
- Midfield |
|
Another
of the leading lights of Horsham’s Under-18 side of 2009-10,
Adam has broken through into the first team squad and already
has a fair number of Ryman Premier Division appearances to his
name. An intelligent midfield ball player, who has also turned
out at full-back, Adam is one of the brightest prospects to
come through the ranks for some years. He played some games
last season for Loxwood in the Sussex County League.. |

Ryan Woodford - Midfield |

A
former England Colleges captain and one of the few players to
remain at the club from last season. A tough-tackling midfielder
who joined the Hornets from Worthing in September 2010, having
overcome serious injury to help the Rebels to a promotion play-off
place in 2009-10. Missed the final weeks of last season with
a broken ankle. Ryan’s previous clubs also include Andover and
Eastleigh. |

Callum Dunne - Midfield |
|
Attacking
midfielder who joined Horsham from AFC Wimbledon in the close
season. He spent a week’s
trial at Aston Villa whilst a youngster at Fisher Athletic and
had a spell at Croydon Athletic before joining the Dons in 2009
for whom he made a handful of first team appearances while starring
in their reserve side for whom he made 54 appearances, scoring
seven goals. |

Kery
Kedze - Midfield |
|
Fast
and tricky winger who joined Horsham from Croydon Athletic in
December after impressing against the Hornets in a pre-season
friendly, when he scored twice in a 5-1 win. |

Ryan Marriott - Midfield |
|
Energetic
midfielder who joined the Hornets from Billericay Town in March
this year following stints in the Welsh Premier League with
Aberystwyth Town, The New Saints and Bala Town. |

Tony
Nwachukwu - Forward |
|
Tony
began to break into the first team squad a couple of seasons
ago while still playing for Horsham’s Under-18s. Since then
the lightning-quick winger has gone on to make sixty-nine appearances
and has weighed in with some valuable goals. Had brief spells
at Tooting & Mitcham United and Loxwood last season but
returned to his home town club over the Summer. A popular player
with the supporters with a nice line in goal celebrations. |

Dean O'Keefe - Forward |
|
Talented
striker who came through the club's youth ranks before breaking in
to the first team this season. Marked his first senior league
appearance by coming off the bench to score the equalising goal at
Hendon in November. |

Daniel
Morris - Forward |
|
After a short four-game second spell at Dulwich Hamlet, powerful
striker Daniel joined Walton & Hersham in November 2010,
scoring three minutes into his debut. He had started the season
at Godalming Town but eventually followed manager Chuck Martini
to his new club. Daniel had spent the previous season in the
Sussex County League with Redhill. Signed for Horsham over
the close season but left for a spell with the Metropolitan
Police before rejoining the club in February. |

Experienced
forward whose goals helped take Eastbourne Borough in to the
Football Conference in 2008. Spent the start of this season at
Sussex County League Redhill under Simon Colbran before following
his former manager to Horsham this year. |

Shane Graham

|
A pacy midfielder, Shane joined Horsham from Leyton in November
2010 having previously made a number of appearances for the
Hornets in two brief spells between 2007 and 2009. He began
his career at Egham Town and lists Margate, Tooting & Mitcham
United, Croydon Athletic, Ashford Town (Kent), Ashford Town
(Middlesex) and Cray Wanderers among his former clubs. |

Matthew Armstrong-Ford - Goalkeeper (released October 2011,
joined Hastings United) |

A 6ft 6in Eastbourne-born goalkeeper
who caught the eye of Charlton Athletic scouts whilst playing
for Newquay in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League. Matt
spent eighteen months on the books of Exeter City and helped
Bideford achieve a highest league placing in 37 years whilst
on a season-long loan from the Grecians during 2010/11. Returned
to his native Sussex after being released by Exeter in May,
joining Horsham this summer. |

David Ottley -

|
East Londoner David is a versatile defender, able to play at
either right- or left-back and has played most of his football
in Essex, at Barking, Tilbury and last season at Romford. The
20-year-old has represented Essex at Senior level and signed
for the Hornets in the summer after impressing in the pre-season
friendly matches. |

Jahmahl King
- Defence (joined Horsham YMCA in September 2011) |
|
Jahmahl began his career at Dagenham & Redbridge, playing
largely in the reserve team, before moving on to Hayes &
Yeading and Banstead Athletic where he spent two years before
joining Redhill in the Sussex County League. In 2009-10 he joined
Crawley Down and helped them to their (then) best-ever finish
in the Sussex County League before signing for the Hornets in
Summer 2010. Sadly, his season was restricted by recurrent injury
problems. |

Oliver Poole -

A central defender signed on loan from Welling United in September
2011. Ollie started his career with Millwall Youth before being
released at the age of 16. He played for Welling manager Jamie
Day's college programme for two years before graduating to the
first team squad. |

Dane Luchford

|
The younger brother of new Horsham manager Justin Luchford,
Dane was virtually an ever-present for Faversham Town where
he finished last season as the club’s joint top scorer and by
far the top goal ‘assister’. Recognised as one of the best dead
ball specialists in Division One South, Dane opted to join Justin
at Horsham for the new season to try his hand in the Ryman Premier
Division. |

Became Horsham's first managerial
appointment in 11 years when he replaced John Maggs in the summer.
Previously manager at Faversham Town whom he took from the bottom
of the Kent League to 8th in Ryman League Division One in the
space of three seasons. |

Richard Langley - Assistant Coach (joined Whitstable Town as
assistant-manager, November 2011) |

A UEFA B Licence Coach, Richard
was formerly at Dover Athletic where he spent a highly successful
5 years in charge of the youth set-up that ultimately led to
him being offered the first team manager's role, a position
he fulfilled for a year before taking up the assistant-manager's
role at Sittingbourne. Invited to join Ramsgate in 2006, spending
the past 2 years as assistant to manager Jim Ward. |

Russell Eldridge

|
A talented and adaptable left-footer who is equally effective
in defence or in the midfield. Now in his second spell with
the Hornets, he originally joined from Hastings United in July
2008, returning to the Pilot Field in October 2009. He rejoined
the club from Burgess Hill Town in early September 2011. Russell
has represented Sussex at all youth levels and was on the books
of Brighton, Watford and Gillingham before moving into non-league
football with Hastings, Sidley United and Horsham YMCA. |

Kane Rice

An Eire international from U14 to U17 levels, Kane began his
career at Crystal Palace and Cambridge City before moving on
to Maidstone United. He played a major role in VCD Athletic’s
promotion to the Ryman League in 2008-09 but suffered a serious
knee injury the following year. On regaining fitness, he signed
for Dover Athletic after impressing in trial matches in August
2010 and he played a number of games in the Conference South
before moving on to Maldon & Tiptree, Maidstone United and
Chatham Town. |

for Chertsey Town, Kingstonian (twice), Hastings United, Godalming

Hersham in Division One South. Signed for the Hornets in August
this year. |

Lloyd is an imposing 24-year-old centre-half who has represented
both South London and London as a whole from Under-14 level to
Under-19. He played for Tooting & Mitcham United in 2008-09,
but has been out of the game for some time due to injury problems.

working on regaining full fitness |

Tommy is another player who is no stranger to Gorings Mead, having
played last season for our landlords, Horsham YMCA, in the Ryman
League Division One South. Tommy began his career at Dartford
but left in November 2007 in search of more regular first team
football. He played for Beckenham Town in the Kent League where
he was a prolific goalscorer, before moving to Sussex last season.

Conor is just eighteen years of age and has spent all of his footballing
career at Brighton & Hove Albion, representing the Seagulls
from Under-10 level all the way up to April of this year when
he was released. A prolific goalscorer, he has also represented
Surrey Schools and signed for Horsham in August. |

as caretaker-manager in October following the departure of manager
Justin Luchford. A former assistant-manager at Ashford Town,
and a coach at Thamesmead Town, Hugo is a UEFA 'A' qualified
coach who joined Luchford's backroom staff in June, having proven
himself a strong candidate for the vacant manager's position
during the summer.

and versatile midfielder who joined Horsham on loan from Ebbsfleet
United in November 2008. Made 26 appearances for the Hornets
before moving on to Lewes where his career was interrupted by
a cruciate injury. Williams returned to Horsham on loan after
his rehabilitation and ended last season with the Hornets. He
has taken on many roles at the club, playing at full-back, in
the midfield, and up front on occasions. |

prolific goalscorer who was signed from Metropolitan Police
in September 2011. Ray had only joined the Blues in the Summer
following a successful time at Chipstead, where he was moved
from the wing to the forward line and emerged as their top scorer
last season, netting nineteen times in the league. Ray had joined
Chipstead from Maidstone United in 2009-10 where he had generally
played left-back or left-midfield. |
