Having already played 2
hard matches in 5 days, Matt Bulley's treble chasing side faced rivals
Adur Athletic in what was likely to be the League decider.
The first half started off in wet and windy conditions with Horsham
having the majority of chances and, despite a scare on 10 minutes when
an Adur shot went wide, they looked the more likely to score.
The deadlock was broken 3 minutes before
half time when
George Hall deflected a David O’Callaghan shot behind the diving
'keeper.
With the weather improving, the second half carried on in the same
fashion as the first and a strong display by the Adur 'keeper was all
that was keeping them in the game.
The 49th minute saw a Kieran Towse drop- kick flicked on by Josh Clack
into the path of Louis Masih who coolly slotted home Horsham’s second.
The young Hornets continued to pile on the pressure and chance after
chance was either narrowly wide or well saved until the last minute
when a solo run by Clack resulted in a shot, into the top right
corner, hitting both upright and crossbar before going in.
With Horsham running out 3 – 0 winners they secure the League title
and the treble.
