Horsham Youth U12s
played their first home match at the Holbrook Club today, hosting
T.D.Shipley in the first round of the County Cup.
From the first whistle to the last, Horsham were firmly in control
with George Hole netting within the first five minutes of the game. Zak Comber then
added a fabulous hat-trick of goals before Danny Kirkland scored his
first for Horsham. The defensive team of Joshua Budd, Jake Williams,
Ben Collier and Ben Meadows showed great strength, giving goalkeeper
Salvatore Marziano a quiet afternoon, and Zak and George scored again
to make the halftime score 7-0.
The second half was much the same.
Stanley Rice and Louis Donnelly all increased Horsham's lead before
Shipley pulled one back through an unfortunate own goal to make the
final score Horsham 9 T.D.Shipley 1.
The man of the match was captain Thomas
